Interior & Spatial Design Course (Beginners)

Learn the delights of interior design that will give your design scheme that ‘wow’ factor. This Interior Design & Spatial Design Course provides a step-by-step guide to essential skills and the creation of original designs.

People who may be interested in taking this course can be novices who want some ideas and solutions on how to transform their space with a professional designer approach.

The course involves a number of practical exercises, slideshows, demonstrations, and informal class discussions. All demonstrations have visual aids, images and samples to enlighten students with clear easy-to-follow instructions on how to create design schemes and apply them effectively into your personalized space.

It offers an overview of design processes such as - style, colour, texture, pattern, scale, balance, materials, flooring, fabric, furniture, soft furnishings, lighting, and room planning. 

You will also be introduced to an overall conceptual idea of spatial design. You will be introduced to the concept of scale and placements on plan.

A short list of compulsory and optional materials will be provided to students during the first lesson and will be used throughout the course. 

Course Details

• Mode of Study: Once weekly (2 hours each lesson)
• Duration: 10 weeks
• Location: Art Academy Mosta (131 Constitution Street, Mosta, Malta).
  
• Requirements: Materials, Age 17+. There are no technical requirements and this course is suitable for beginners.
