Dive into the world of digital art with our beginner-friendly course designed to teach you the fundamentals and help you bring your artistic ideas to life. Whether you’re new to art or transitioning from traditional mediums, this course will guide you step-by-step through the basics of digital illustration, painting, and design.
Lesson 1: Introduction to the programs, their tools and how to use them to your advantage
Lesson 2: Learn advanced colouring techniques using layers, alpha lock, and clipping masks
Lesson 3: Shading with layer types and multiple layer mode for added dimension
Lesson 4: Experiment with different shading techniques such as cell-shading and soft rendering
Lesson 5: Introduction to creating pixel art
Lesson 6 & 7: Explore lighting effects, including cinematic lighting and shadow placement.
Lesson 8: Adjust colours, use gradient maps, texture brushes, and learn how to import custom brushes.
Lesson 9: Designing and creating a poster
Lesson 10: Review and Q&A
The Digital Art Course for Beginners is carried out in small groups. Art Academy is fully air-conditioned and is equipped with televisions, projectors and sound system.
This class will be led by talented artist and Art Academy Teacher Naomi Mon Del.

Requirements: Students will need to bring their own tablet or graphics tablet with laptop, including digital software such as Procreate, Krita, Photoshop or equivalent. Art Academy will providing charging points so bring your chargers along with you.

Certification: Upon attendance of 80% of the Course, students will be awarded a Certificate of Attendance.
