The Acrylic Painting Course for Beginners is a comprehensive painting course designed to guide absolute beginners to a level of producing quality acrylic paintings through various subjects. Designed for beginners, this course lays the foundation required for success with acrylics and painting in general.
Students are guided through a series of logically-sequenced course topics that build upon the last, covering the following topics:
Lesson 1: Introduction to Acrylics
Lesson 2: Surfaces (preparing surfaces, acrylics alla prima and mixing)
Lesson 3: Pigments and Tools (colour forms, mixing colours etc)
Lesson 4: Still Life Painting - Monochrome
Lesson 5: Still Life Painting - Colour
Lesson 6: Palette Knife Painting
Lesson 7: Landscape Painting
Lesson 8: Painting on other Surfaces
Lesson 9: Art Project
Lesson 10: Open Class Workshop
The class will be lead by Mr Joseph Casapinta, one of Malta's leading artists.
This course is suitable both for students who already have a basic knowledge of drawing and are looking to learn more about acrylic painting. Art groups are kept small with a maximum of 12 students per class to ensure individual attention and guidance.
