Since ancient times, civilized man has always liked to use ceramics to decorate objects and tell their history. The 28 colours of Ceramic will enable you to create wonderful decorative effects on terracotta, ceramics or pottery, it's your turn to tell your story.
- Quality: opaque and extremely glossy (lacquered), solvent-based colours, that are ideal for decorating ceramics. They can also be used on terracotta and wood (after first applying a layer filler undercoat) and even on canvas. Very good lightfastness. The colours can be mixed together.
- Drying: 2 hours to the touch. Completely dry after 10 hours. Drying time may vary depending on the thickness of the application and the temperature and humidity of the room where the product is applied.
- Surfaces: terracotta, ceramic, earthenware, wood, canvas, metal...
- Thinner: Odourless Mineral Spirit or white spirit can be used.
- Caring (decorated surface): after drying, the colours are resistant to scratching and washing in cold water without soaking. Resistant to window cleaner. The objects decorated with Ceramic colours should not be considered for everyday use or be in contact with food. Ceramic is intended for decorative purposes only.
- Brush cleaning: Odourless Mineral Spirit or white spirit. Rinse with soap and water.
Applications:
Ceramic colours are ideal for terracotta and earthenware and can be used for a lacquer finish: plastic, wood, metal, glass, canvas... To maximize the brightness of applications onto porous surfaces, it isrecommended to apply, prior to painting, a layer of the Ceramic Filler Undercoat. On rounded surfaces, be careful not to overload to avoid streaking. Ceramic colours can be applied with a brush, a sponge, astencil, the bath technique...Ceramic colours are ideal for PEBEO MixedMEDIA techniques. Before using the Gédéo GazingResin, it is recommended to apply a coat of Bindex (8 hours drying on completely dry Ceramic colours (72 hours minimum). A sufficiently thick layer of colours can be combined with other mediums such as sand or be engraved with a stick. Ceramic colours can be used with Fantasy Moon colours to create marbled effects.
