The Ceramic Painting Workshop is a method of decorating pottery in which painted decoration is applied to the surface before it is covered with a transparent ceramic glaze and fired in a kiln.
By painting on bisque (i.e. fired pottery) you can either create solid blocks of color using three coats of underglazes, watercolor effects with diluted underglaze, or gradient colors.
It is a lot like watercolour painting in the application and mapping out of colour, where you can build up the layers slowly.
We will provide you with the bisque (pottery) and the underglazes, and during this session, you will learn how to gain confidence in painting on ceramics with underglazes. Under the guidance of the artist, you will learn the art of underglaze painting and create your own unique artwork.
This session is suitable for all levels. Groups are kept to a maximum of 12 students and are only available via pre-booking. You can book your place online or visit our store in Mosta.

- Requirements: Ages 16+, hand wipes and an apron to protect your clothing
- What’s Included: Class-based workshop and all supplies will be provided, including bisque, underglazes, brushes, and single firing is included in the class (items can be collected within 4-8 weeks).
