We are excited to announce that Art Academy will be running the popular Pottery Workshops again this summer, which will give you an introduction to the world of pottery. You will first be introduced to the art of pottery, the available pottery tools, and glazes. You will then be shown a variety of hand-building techniques.
Next, you will get the chance to make something. A pot or small vase is a good starting point and is an enjoyable way to help you get used to handling clay. You can also try out some different ways of adding texture and decoration to personalize your work.
At the end of the session, you will be able to choose one piece to keep. These will be fired and can be picked up at a later stage. Please note this is a long process and can take up to a month to be ready for collection. We will get in touch once your work is ready. Unfortunately, due to such a high demand for these workshops, we can only keep the finished work for two months.
This session is suitable for all levels. Please make sure you select the appropriate age group when booking. Groups are kept to a maximum of 12 students and are only available via pre-booking. You can book your place online or visit our store in Mosta.
